Hey It Works! Team,
We know how important social media can be for sharing that crazy wrap thing and our life-changing opportunity, so we’ve put together some helpful tips and links to help you put your best social self forward!
BUSINESS BUILDING SOCIAL MEDIA TIPS
“She won’t stop messaging me the same
copied and pasted message! Spam!”
“Why, why, why am I getting the same message
for the fourth time this week? Blocked!”
We’ve all had that reaction at least once to our messages.
We have a hot product and high demand. Should we stop building our business via Social Media? Absolutely not! Should we tweak our practices to insure we’re building our businesses the best way possible? Absolutely!
Here are some rules of Social Media that are designed to build your business the most efficient and best way possible. Dig in! They are just for you…
FACEBOOK
Just like our trusted Compliance Team has set guidelines for our hardworking field, Facebook has a few policies of their own that we must follow and agree to follow when we have a Facebook account.
Spam:
Facebook says: You may not contact any user for commercial purposes without their consent.
Translation: You may not send a message to any user with the intent to sell our products (including your replicated link) without them asking you to.
What can you do? You can make any post on your wall. For example, you can make a public post asking “Have you tried That Crazy Wrap Thing?” and as people say “no” or “what is it?” you can then share your link in a private message explaining how awesome our products are.
When posting about our products, make sure that your post is set to “Public” and that the information you are sharing is enticing AND compliant with Facebook's Terms and Policies and It Works! Policies and Procedures.
Why? When you send a message with the intent to sell without being asked, the recipient is likely to mark the content as Spam. Once marked as Spam so many times, all links will be blocked from Facebook. So it is crucial to follow this #1 rule. Your link is important in building your business. Protect it.
Income/Opportunity Claims:
Facebook says: You cannot make income claims or state that you are seeking employees.
Translation: Any monetary claim must include our disclaimer – on each and every post. You may not post that you are “Hiring” or suggest that anyone who becomes a distributor will be “hired” by you.
What can you do? You can share your story! Let your story show the opportunity. How has It Works! changed your life? Let that be enough reason to motivate people to join our It Works! Family.
Why? Suggesting that you are hiring employees is suggesting that you intend to pay each and every person that agrees to “work for you”. Our business model is unique and the opportunity is there! We don’t need to make false claims to promote it. This is also part of It Works! Global’s policies. Our income disclaimer can be found here.
Advertising:
Facebook says: All claims must be adequately substantiated.
Translation: You must provide evidence to support the claims you are making on the products and business opportunity you are selling.
What can you do? You can continue to share our amazing products and how our products and opportunity have changed your life, following the rule above: you must provide a disclaimer when making claims. Our product disclaimers can be found on the product page on your replicated links.
Why? At It Works! Global each of us is given the opportunity to empower people to do great things and change their lives – inside and out. It is important that as we share our one-of-a-kind products and business opportunity that we are sure to represent our company with the high standard of integrity that fuels the It Works! Way.
